Family packs, Fast Pass, Packs, Hotel Room, Deals, Etc!

    Hi Mar'lasia,

Welcome to planDisney! I am always delighted to greet a fellow North Carolinian.

Wow. Your anticipated arrival date is soon, so let's get started!

First things first, check the theme park reservation availability calendar. Everyone needs to make Disney Park Pass system reservations to enter a theme park. Make sure there is park pass availability BEFORE you purchase your theme park tickets or book that vacation package. Although FastPass+ service has been paused, the Disney Park Pass system managed the park crowds well on our last visit.

It sounds as if you will need a vacation package, so select the resort hotel and decide the number of theme park ticket days you will need. On our last visit, we loved staying at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa because we could walk to Magic Kingdom. We also adore Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, and Disney' Pop Century Resorts. Each resort hotel has a distinctive style, so find one that works for you and reserve it!

Check the Special Offers to see deals that might be applicable to the dates of your visit. Keep checking that page for updates. In the meantime, I suggest that you make your resort reservation. If a Special Offer is later released that might be applicable, contact a Cast Member to see if they can apply the Special Offer to your resort reservation. Although not guaranteed, they may be able to apply it.

At 60-days prior to your vacation, I highly recommend that you make advanced dining reservations. With restaurants operating at reduced capacity on our last visit, I was so thankful to have dining reservations. We were able to use Mobile Dine Check-in while walking to restaurants and never waited more than 10 minutes for a table.

Once you have your vacation package booked, make sure you have linked it in your My Disney Experience account. Then, make Disney Park Pass system reservations for everyone in your party. I cannot stress this enough. Make those park pass reservations as soon as possible. Park availability could change any day.

Since I always estimate food costs as a part of our budget, I suggest that you check the menus of the restaurants you plan to visit. To see the menus, go to a restaurant's homepage like Be Our Guest Restaurant, then click View Menu. I also factor in a few snacks into our food budget and we bring some snacks from home as well since our girls have food allergies.

So much to do, so little time! Start making those plans. Happy planning!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
