Matthew from NC Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My family own DVC and are staying on property when we come down in November this year (2026). One of our favorite things to do is a monorail crawl at the lounges. Will this still be possible with the new restrictions? Reservations can’t be made at lounges.

Hey there, Matthew! Welcome back to planDisney. It's always a treat to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member! You've got a friend in me, and I'm happy to help with your question today.

The new transportation rules announced recently for Walt Disney World Resort have caused quite a bit of online chatter! These primarily impact folks accessing the buses or boats from Disney Springs to the resorts. Guests are now required to show that they have a resort reservation, or a confirmed dining reservation, in order to access the buses and boats departing the Springs and traveling to the resorts.

I also enjoy visiting a couple of favorite spots along the Monorail loop when we visit Walt Disney World!  My personal favorite is Enchanted Rose at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - it's such a gorgeous spot to relax with a drink. At this time, there are no restrictions around accessing the Monorail from the parks or the Transportation and Ticket Center to visit any of the resorts. However, if you're driving or taking rideshare to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the Grand Floridian, or Disney's Contemporary Resort and do not have a dining reservation or a confirmed stay, there is always a possibility that you could be turned away in order to ensure that Guests staying at those spots have enough parking. This practice has been in place for a while.

Matthew, since these changes are new, there may be some updates before you visit in November. I recommend checking back closer to your visit - our planDisney crew is always up-to-date on what's happening and we'll be happy to clarify any new information. Thanks so much for coming back to see us again, and please don't hesitate to reach out anytime if we can help with other questions.

    Welcome Home!
