My family each have their own Disney app and have linked their tickets to it. How do we link to each other, so we can do photo pass, virtual queues, and genie+ altogether?

Hey, Howdy Hey, Nadirah, and welcome to planDisney!

Linking theme park tickets together is a fantastic way to keep your cast of characters wrangled up whenever you travel to the Happiest Place On Earth. You know what? My good friend and I have our Magic Keys linked together. That way, she can make theme park reservations for me (because I tend to forget sometimes!). Plus, we can take turns booking Lightning Lane return times and breeze through the turnstiles together when we meet up at the parks.

It gets even easier if you and your crew all have the Disneyland Mobile app on your phones! Just open the app, look for the ☰ feature menu at the bottom right, and select “Tickets and Passes” at the top left. From there, tap the “Link Tickets & Passes” button near the top of the screen. If you don't see it, tap the ‘+’ button in the upper-right corner. You can scan another ticket using your phone's camera or manually enter the ticket ID. Once all of your theme park tickets are linked, you can make Disney Genie+ reservations for your entire party and stay in sync!

Oh, and Nadirah, don't forget to check out Panelist Tony S’s tips for linking tickets and enjoying Lightning Lane entrances. He's got some excellent advice too!

Oh, and here's a bonus tip for you, Nadirah! When capturing those magical moments with Disney's PhotoPass service, here's a neat trick: Grab just one PhotoPass card from the first photographer you meet during your trip. Instead of each person in your group handing over their phones to be scanned, you can use that one card for all the photos taken throughout your entire day. All you need to do is link that one card to each person's individual account. This way, one PhotoPass card can effortlessly connect to all your accounts. It's a great alternative to having photographers scan every phone, which can slow things down for everyone.

Well, Nadirah, I hope this answers your question about linking your theme park tickets. With this handy trick, you and your Mouseketeers are bound to have the most rootinest tootinest visit to the Disneyland Resort in the wild wild west! If you have more questions or need more tips or suggestions for your trip, just keep those questions a-comin’! Now that you’ve got a friend in me, I’d love to help however I can.

    Happy Trails,
