We are a family of 5, one of our teenagers is a very picky eater. We have several reservations at restaurants in the World Show Case, will our picky eater be able to order off the children's menu? We are not on any type of dinning plan.

Hi Shannon!  Thanks for asking your question to the Moms Panel.  Your Walt Disney World vacation is fast approaching, and I'm glad to hear you have your dining reservations all set.   While your picky teenager will have no problem ordering off the kids menu at any of the counter-service locations, there appears to be no official policy from Walt Disney World regarding those over 9 years ordering kids meals at a table-service restaurant. Each of the table-service restaurants has the discretion either way.  I have heard from many people that they have had no problems, and then I have heard from others that they were told no.  My best advice to you is to inquire with your server immediately upon being seated, explaining that you have a picky eater, so your teen can be prepared either way.  If they won't allow it, I would suggest maybe ordering just an appetizer, if that would be more appealing.  Many times the chef can modify an adult entree to suit individual requests - perhaps leaving ingredients out that your teen finds offensive.

Shannon, I truly wish you and your family a very magical vacation, and I hope you are able to find yummy food that everyone will enjoy!  Have a magical day, and don't hesitate to ask me any more questions you may have.
