My family is not staying in the Disney Resort, just outside. My parents are joining us but not to all the theme parks, is it easy for them to drop my family off for the day and pick us up when we are done? This way they are not left without a vehicle.

Hi Nichole! Not every family is able to stay on site in a Walt Disney World resort and dropping guests off and picking them up at the end of the day is an important fact to know. Disney has accounted for this and has special locations in each park for drop off guests.

For the Magic Kingdom this location is next to the Transportation and Ticket Center and the Polynesian Resort. In Epcot the drop off location is where the resort buses drop off their guests which is on the right side of the park. Animal Kingdom will usually direct you towards the handicap and taxi parking but this has sometimes changed and you will need to follow directions of the cast members on duty. Finally, for the Hollywood Studios Park you will be directed toward the far right when entering.

You will need to let the cast member at the entrance gates know that you are only dropping off at the parks and they will direct you to the correct lane. Follow the signs and and cast members on parking duty as they will show you the safest place for dropping off and picking up. Please don't pick your own spot to drop off a guest as there will be many buses and trams and cars coming and going making this a dangerous decision.

Locations can change so if you are unsure please stop and ask a parking cast member where to go. Have a great time in the parks!
