Hi there, Lisa! Thank you for bringing this great question to us at planDisney.
I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans to visit
The Most Magical Place on Earth! This is the perfect backdrop to make some very special memories together as a family. I would love to help you and your family plan for this trip!
When planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort, there are a few important steps you'll want to take before you arrive. You'll want to book your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel if you plan on staying on property. Make sure that each Guest in your travel party has a theme park ticket. Be sure that you've made a
theme park reservation for each day of your trip. Finally, make any
advance dining reservations if you'd like to dine at a sit-down restaurant.
You'll also want to make sure that you have a way to access the parks and any reservations you've made! You can do this either by purchasing a
MagicBand (or MagicBand+) or requesting a complimentary Key to the World card from the front desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
Guests using the
My Disney Experience app on their mobile devices will be able to
mobile order food and purchase
Disney Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lane entrances for select experiences and attractions. While these features can cut down on wait times, they're certainly not necessary to enjoy the parks! You'll be able to order at the window of most quick-service dining locations. You can also enter the standby queue in order to experience the attractions, with the exception of
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which requires you to enter the line through a virtual queue that can be accessed through the My Disney Experience app.
I hope I was able to point you in the right direction today, Lisa! If you have any other questions, please visit us again.
You've got a friend in me!
Michelle
