Hiya Vivian,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your theme park ticket and reservation question! Hot diggity dog, how exciting that you and your family will be ringing in the New Year at The Most Magical Place on Earth! There is something extra special about celebrating New Year’s Eve surrounded by all that Disney magic, with Mickey and the gang helping you welcome a brand-new year.
So Vivian, let’s jump right into your question.
Theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets. These tickets require you to choose a start date when you purchase them, so if this is the type of ticket you have, you will not need to make a separate theme park reservation.
For certain other types of admission, however, a theme park reservation may still be required. If your ticket requires one, you can log into your
My Disney Experience app, select Park Reservations, choose the members of your party, and then select the theme park and date you would like to visit.
One important thing to keep in mind, especially when visiting during a busy holiday like New Year’s Eve, is that theme park entry is always subject to capacity. Even with valid theme park admission and, when required, a park reservation,
admission is not guaranteed if the park reaches capacity. Because New Year’s Eve is such a popular time to visit and I understand you are traveling, I recommend arriving as early as you can and giving yourself plenty of time to enjoy all of the festivities.
Vivian, I hope you and your family have the most fabulous time counting down to midnight with a little Disney pixie dust. What a magical way to start the year! If you have any additional questions, please come back and visit us again.
See you real soon,
Christina
