Hello! My family is going on a 4 night cruise on the Disney Dream next May 2012. Our youngest son age 2 has celiac disease and other food allergies and needs a special diet. Would the kitchen be able to provide special requests to meet his dietary needs?

    Hi Francisco,

I can truthfully say that you will have nothing to worry about.  Disney Cruise Line is wonderful at accommodating special dietary needs.  When making your reservation please let the agent who is helping you know what the food allergies and intolerances are.  You can also add this to your reservation on-line when you are customizing your cruise.  Personally, I am lactose intolerant, and have specifically requested Lactaid when arranging my trips.  I've always been accommodated, and substitutions were made in my meals in order to not include any dairy.   Please also remember to remind your servers at your first meal, and the different servers you will encounter during breakfasts and lunches.  Your evening servers will follow your rotational dining schedule throughout the trip.

I hope you have a magical sailing.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Bon voyage Francisco!
