My family and I are going on a 4-night Bahamian cruise from Dec. 9-13, 2012. Are the pools on the ship heated? What will the temp at Castaway Cay look like? Do you recommend wetsuits for us?

    Hi Ana,

Congratulations on your upcoming Disney cruise!  I love sailing during that time of year...the holiday decorations onboard are gorgeous, and Castaway Cay is my favorite port.

The pools on the ship are heated when the water temperature falls below 75 degrees.  The temperature in the Bahamas in December range from 68 degrees in the morning to approximately 77 degrees by early afternoon.  It's gorgeous weather!  The water will typically be at least 10 degrees colder than the outside temperature, so it will be chilly.  If that temperature is too cold for you, and you have the packing space, I would use the wetsuits.

I hope this helps Ana.  Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Bon voyage!!!
