Hi, Mario! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
As the mom of a child with special needs, one of the things that I love the most about
Walt Disney World Resort is the way that they make the magic accessible to everyone. Walt Disney World Resort offers many accommodations to meet the needs of Guests with disabilities, including
Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is an accommodation meant for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a typical queue environment.
Every Guest with a disability has their own unique needs, and it is always best for families to talk directly with a Disability Services Cast Member to determine what accommodations might be appropriate for them. If you would like to speak with a Cast Member to see if DAS would be a good fit for your little one, you can either visit
Guest Relations when you arrive at one of the Walt Disney World theme parks or if it is 2-30 days before your visit, you may discuss
DAS registration via a live video chat with a Cast Member. If you would prefer to inquire about DAS before that, please feel free to
reach out to a Disability Services Cast Member using the phone number or email address found at this link.
There are a couple of things about the DAS program that are important to note in your particular situation. If it is determined that your baby qualifies for DAS, the maximum number of Guests allowed on a DAS pass is six (the person with a disability plus five other Guests). Also, when redeeming DAS ride return times, the person with a disability must be experiencing the attraction along with the other Guests in the party. Since your princess will only be 7 months old at the time of your visit, you would only be able to use DAS for
attractions without a height requirement that are appropriate for infants.
Mario, I hope that this information helps you as you get ready for your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask. See ya real soon!
Samantha
