Family of 4, we need help booking our vacation with a dedicated Disney travel planner

    Welcome to planDisney, Amy!

You've come to the right place! Like you, we are a Disney family of four. Walt Disney World is the perfect place to make family memories. All you need to do is decide when you're coming!

Planning a Disney vacation can certainly leave you feeling like Alice in Wonderland. But that's why planDisney exists! If you'd like to put a vacation package together, you have 3 options:

Option #1 — Book Through the Walt Disney World Website
You can plan, price, and, if you're satisfied with everything, book your vacation through the website. This is usually how I roll. However, if you would like help, there are a couple of other options.

Option #2 — Book Over the Phone
You can speak directly to a Cast Member and they will be able to book accommodation and tickets for you, as well as answer any questions you might have. You can even let them know your budget and they can find something that meets your needs.

Option #3 — Use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner
There are a number of no-fee agents who can help you plan your vacation (often even saving you money in the process). Just do a simple Google search and see what comes up.

However you decide to book, here are some planning tips that I like to share with my fellow Guests:

    • If your budget allows, I'd suggest staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. With their theming, storytelling, and customer service, they truly immerse you in the magic from start to finish. Plus, there are tons of magical benefits for Guests staying on property.
    • One of the many benefits of staying on property is the ability to make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance of your trip plus the length of your stay (up to 10 days). Since restaurants fill up quickly, this means that you are far more likely to reserve a table. With so many amazing restaurants to try, you'll be spoilt for choice. For a family of four, I'd recommend Liberty Tree Tavern or, if you want a character dining experience, Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White.
    • There are four Theme Parks and two Water Parks on property (although Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently closed for refurbishment). I'd suggest visiting as many of the four Theme Parks as possible. Magic Kingdom Park is my family's personal favorite (it's particularly great for young Mouseketeers), but each is delightfully magical in its own way. Explore all the amazing things to see and experience at each of the Theme Parks for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Once you've purchased your tickets, you'll want to create a My Disney Experience account. You can then make reservations at the Theme Park you'd like to visit.
    • At some point, you're going to want to download the My Disney Experience Mobile App so that you can use the new (and free) Disney Genie service. This will help you plan your day in a way that is catered to you and your family. You can also upgrade to Disney Genie+ and/or purchase Individual Lightning Lane entrances. I've written a previous answer about the Disney Genie service that you might find helpful.
I hope and trust you'll have a magical time, Amy.
