My family (Nana, Papa, Mom, Dad and a 5 year old) is planning a trip To Walt Disney World Thanksgiving week, 2014. How soon can we and should we start to plan our trip? Also, what can we expect as far as weather and crowds?

    Hi Linda!

Thank you so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. 2014 Magic Your Way package rates were just released about a week ago, and with the idea of traveling during the holiday, I'd suggest booking your package as soon as possible by calling 407-939-7725. You can also check availability online

I'm unsure of your intended reservations, but Walt Disney World offers an abundance of options for extended families traveling together. From larger guest rooms, family suites, cabins or villas, Disney has you covered! Check out the following link for rooms for 5 guests or more.

You'll definitely want to book your Advanced Dining Reservations at 180-days prior to your arrival. Crowds will be heavier during the holiday, but don't let that deter you from booking a vacation. The weather should be very mild, and might even allow for shorts and swimming. It can be a bit unpredictable that time of year, as we've traveled with sweaters or swimsuits. Average temps will range between 58-78 in November.

Keep in touch with us, Linda, and we will help you plan every step of the way, including our tips on tackling the holiday crowds. Let me know the Resort Hotels you are considering, and I can certainly offer our family's experiences. In my opinion, it is never too early to begin planning your itinerary!

With the unparalleled holiday decorations, Cinderella Castle Dream Lights, Candlelight Processional and more, Thanksgiving becomes a wonderful time to experience the Walt Disney World magic.

    Best wishes!
