Hello there, Stephanie, welcome to planDisney!
I’m so excited to hear that your family has a
trip coming up. How big of a travel party is it? We are a family of four, but we love it when my parents join us for a visit. It’s also a joke that my sister doesn’t need an invitation. The second I mention an upcoming trip, she’s booked and ready to go and join us. So most visits for us usually include extended family members.
Like your party, I am the one who sits out on a couple of thrill rides. To keep our plans consistent, I book us all for the same
Lightning Lane times. The one ride I skip, every time, is
Tower of Terror. I find it easiest to stay with my party and “tap” in as if I were going to ride. My family is hopeful that one day I will board, but I usually ask for a Cast Member to point to the exit before my family boards. I’ll be honest, I was so close to conquering my fears last month, but I just couldn’t. My seven-year-old is much braver than I am.
You also have the option to modify their plans. What you’ll want to do is log in to your
My Disney Experience mobile app and click on the 3 horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner. Select “Today’s Plans” and click “Cancel”. You will then select who you’d like to cancel the reservation for and follow the prompts to complete the process. I’d wait closer to the time of riding when taking this route, just in case that member decides that today is the day they are brave enough to ride. (I’m still waiting for my moment to be brave). Although the exit gift shop by the Tower of Terror is a great one, I’m totally fine with not being courageous.
Stephanie, I hope this helps answer your question. Have the best time vacationing with everyone, and be sure to take lots of photos. You may even want to consider purchasing
Memory Maker so that everyone can be in the photo! The photo downloads are worth it, trust me.
Magical Memories,
