My family just moved to FL and we used a bank statement to get FL Resident passes. Will we need to take a bank statement with us to the gate each time until we get our FL driver's licenses? Or was residency proof just needed when we bought the passes?

    Hi Joshua,

Welcome to Florida! I love that one of your first acts as new residents of our state was to become Walt Disney World passholders. You are a family after my own heart.

If you have activated your passes and used them for the first time, you will no longer need to show ID. Simply tap your pass or MagicBand at the entrance point of any of the four theme parks, and you will be good to go.

If you have only purchased the vouchers for the passes and have yet to use them, you will need to take your proof of Florida residency to a ticket window or Guest Relations desk to validate the passes for the first time.

Wishing you many days of Disney fun in your first year in Florida. My family has made so many wonderful memories at Walt Disney World as Florida resident passholders for more than 15 years. I hope you enjoy the passes as much as we do.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Have fun exploring the magic of Walt Disney World with your family!
