    My family (DS: 4 and 16mo) and I are on the DDDP. We are debating where to enjoy our last breakfast and would like to explore the Polynesian. We have 5 Character meals planned throughout our visit. Do you recommend breakfast at Ohana or at Kona Cafe?

    Hello Alexis!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am happy to see you are on the Disney Dining Plan.  My family and I very much enjoy the plan and it saves us a lot of money. 

    Disney's Polynesian Resort is one of my favorite places to dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  We spend a lot of time at that resort.  Both the Kona Cafe and 'Ohana offer really great breakfast options.  I used to be a big fan of Kona Cafe but I didn't have a great experience last time I visited in December.  In fact, I've noticed a lot of reviews lately similar to the experience I had.  The food is good but for your credit on the Disney Dining Plan, you could do much better.  Breakfast at 'Ohana is a really fun experience.  The food is all-you-care-to-enjoy served right to your table and is really tasty.  At 'Ohana, you can meet characters like Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.  Character meals are a lot of fun so I wouldn't worry about having too many.  If you are wanting a breakfast that does not have characters, I would look into Boma.  Boma is located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and offers over 40 items on the breakfast buffet.  You can find a wide variety of options including made to order omelets, breakfast pizza and Mickey waffles.  My favorite breakfast at Walt Disney World is at Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
