If my family has MK reservations on 12/30 and we want a break mid-day, are we guaranteed re-entry if the park reaches capacity in the evening? We are staying on-site. I have read some conflicting answers and hoping for clarification. Thanks so much!!

Hey there Andrew and welcome back to planDisney. December 30 and 31 of any year are some of the most fun days and the most crowded days. I have spent many moments in a "penguin walk" to get through the crowds but the energy of the Guests is electric making the experience magical.

Guests with a theme park reservation on December 30 and December 31 are not guaranteed re-entry into the theme park under the Terms & Conditions for Theme Park Reservations. Disney reserves the right to change, as it sees fit, the capacity limits for its theme parks. While that may seem daunting I have been to Walt Disney World Resort several times when Magic Kingdom Park was no longer admitting Guests due to capacity then several hours later reopened. I do not think you have anything to worry about on December 30, 2023, (December 31 I would) but to be safe you should try and be back inside Magic Kingdom Park no later than 5:30 PM. If it does close then an alert will be sent to you through the My Disney Experience App so make sure push notifications are on.

planDisney Pro Tip: Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering will experience very late return times so be thinking far in advance on December 30, 2023, if you are going to utilize this service and do not wait until the last minute.

Andrew, have a blast closing out the year in style at the "Most Magical Place on Earth." Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
