I would like to take my family to see the MICKEY Fantasmic show. Is it worth it to do the dinner plan? Are the seat better? Do you think the show would be okay for a 3 and 5 year old. thank you so much.

    Hi Vicki!

Fantasmic! is spectacular!  It is definitely something that should not be missed.  It is my personal favorite of the nighttime shows at Walt Disney World.

You didn't say when you are going, but these days I recommend the dinner package.  I wouldn't have said that a couple of years ago when Fantasmic! was being offered every night, but now Fantasmic! is usually only offered a couple of times each week except when it is a very busy time for Walt Disney World.

I recommend the dinner package because otherwise you would most likely have to be in the stadium 60 to 90 minutes before the start of the show.  Being on the dinner package reduces how far in advance you have to be there.  Unfortunately, the reserved seating is not the best, but it is not horrible either.  You will be off centered in the reserved section.

My 5 year old son absolutely loves Fantasmic!, but not at first.  A couple of years ago, he was scared during some of the scarier or darker parts of the show.  However, we purchased a light up toy for him (a spinning Mickey Mouse) and with that he enjoyed the show and wasn't scared.  He didn't play with it continuously, but only a few seconds when the show got pretty dark.

    Have a magical vacation!
