Hi My family members are visiting me this summer and I was wondering if I can purchase FL resident Disney tickets and give them as a gift to my family so they can enjoy their stay here.

Hi Luis, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

What a wonderful host you are to want to give your family the gift of Disney. I know most of us lucky enough to live in the Sunshine State are eager to share our love of Walt Disney World with our visitors. However, while it's a wonderful thought, we do need to show proof of Florida residency in order to activate those Florida Resident tickets, so your out-of-state family wouldn't be able to use them.

I do have another idea for you, though, Luis! You might consider Disney Gift Cards for your visiting family. They can be used toward the purchase of Walt Disney World tickets if they choose - or you can take them to Disney Springs and let them go on a shopping spree. Either would be a wonderful way to give your family the magic of Disney while they're visiting our lovely state.

Luis, I hope this helps you share a little sunshine with your visitors. Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
