I have family members in two different rooms and reservations with dining plan. When we all sit for dinner how do we apply our plan? Does each room need to apply the credits or can I apply from my account only?

Hiya Tom, and welcome to planDisney! Your question about the Disney Dining Plan is music to my ears, so much so that I want you to imagine me singing the following sentence to the tune of the Mickey Mouse March: What's package for my meals that makes me clap my hands? D-I-N I-N-G P-L-A-N-S! Dining plans! The Disney Dining Plan is an awesome and convenient way to map out your meals on vacation, and I can help you with your question about utilizing your plan with a large party.

The How-To Guide for the Dining Plan includes a tip that matches the situation you are describing. About halfway down the page you'll see the following sentence that should give you a hand when you go to redeem your meals: "If you’re dining with another party that’s also on a dining plan, please notify the server or cashier which meals should be redeemed on each valid Disney Resort ID." If you're wondering what your Resort ID is, it's the back end information that Cast Members use to verify hotel stays and other important details about your trip. When it comes time to redeem the meals, your server will probably ask you to identify the members of each party and scan the appropriate MagicBand+, Key to the World Card, or MagicMobile pass from one guest on each room reservation. You will be in good hands, and it likely won't be the Cast Member's first rodeo with a situation like this.

Once your meal is complete, there are a few ways you can verify the remaining credits on your account. You can check your dining receipt to see the number and type of meals left, ask a Cast Member at your resort hotel or at Guest Relations, or tap on "Check Dining Plan" under "My Resort Stay" in the My Disney Experience app.

I hope this information is helpful as you make dining plans for your Dining Plans, Tom! I just know you're going to have an absolutely fantastic time on your vacation. If you think of any other questions leading up to your stay, march back over to us here at planDisney. Our trip planning Mouseketeers are more than happy to assist. Bon appetit!

    Stay magical,
    Scott
