Do family members need park tickets to watch me run the 2024 full marathon?

    Hello there, Cynthia!

Congrats on running during the runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! This is an amazing accomplishment. I ran my first half-marathon during the Marathon Weekend last year, and it was such a special moment to have my family at the finish line, but I must admit, the half-marathon is the longest distance I’ll be running anytime soon.

The 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend course maps haven’t been released yet. In the past, the maps were released about two weeks or so before the weekend. For the past few years, the marathon finish line has taken place in the EPCOT parking area. This makes it super convenient for spectators since they don’t need theme park tickets to enter the EPCOT parking area. Last year, they even had bleachers available for spectators to sit.

If your family wants to watch you run right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A., they’ll be able to grab a spot along the street without theme park admission until approximately 7:30 a.m. As we get closer to the race weekend, you’ll be able to find more Spectator Viewing Information and Tips in the Digital Expo & Event Guide that comes out.

My family tracked my location last year by watching the Runner Tracking feature on the Spectator Info page on the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend website. I recommend that your family watches the website and arrives at the parking lot about 45 minutes before you are expected to finish the race, but please note that traffic patterns around the theme park will vary during the weekend and may add to travel time.

May the magic be with you!
