Hiya Heather!
Welcome to planDisney! I have just returned from an adventure at Walt Disney World Resort where I had to do exactly what you are asking. My husband and I wanted to make sure our time in EPCOT was strategically perfect as we had limited time. We purchased an Individual Lightning Lane for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at 7 AM while at the same time booking my first Lightning Lane reservation of the day with Genie+. It worked perfectly and I am glad to help you!
For the best chance to get both an
Individual Lightning Lane and a
Lightning Lane reservation at the same time, I highly recommend you and your husband create your own
My Disney Experience Accounts. I would not use the same My Disney Experience Account at the same time for two different purposes as it could cause issues. On this past trip, my husband and I got ready with our accounts on our phone through the My Disney Experience Mobile App a bit before 7 AM and counted down together until it was time. We then completed our missions successfully. Just a reminder, only guests staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel have the benefit of booking an Individual Lightning Lane at 7 AM. All other guests have to wait till the Park opening time.
If your husband does not want to create a free My Disney Experience Account then you will have to stagger your booking missions. Do one and then the other. It will be riskier as you may not get an ideal time as you would have right at 7 AM but that is the only option with one account.
But seriously, just make another My Disney Experience Account! It is just so convenient when you need help with multiple bookings and
dining reservations. In my family, once we decide what dining reservations we want, my husband and I will log into our accounts
60 days before our arrival and work together to make the reservations. Reservations can disappear so quickly and working together at the same time makes things so much more efficient. I promise that you will appreciate having the help!
I do hope I was helpful and please come back if you have any more questions!
Happy Planning!
