We have 2 family members joining us on our upcoming trip. They have not yet purchased Lighting Lane. Could I still link their tickets to my account ahead of time? And will it automatically update when they buy it in the park that day?

Hey there, hi there, Victoria! We love helping Guests get the answers to all their planning questions. Welcome to planDisney!

I hope you are getting so excited now that your visit is just days away, and I love to hear how you are thinking ahead! You are on the right track! I definitely suggest that you link the tickets of everyone in your party to at least one account before your arrival, even if they don't have Lightning Lane added to their ticket yet. As soon as they scan into the park and make their Lightning Lane Multi Pass purchase in the app, the person with all the tickets linked to their account will easily be able to make the first Lightning Lane selection for the party.

To make things go even smoother when your party enters the park, I recommend that your family members add a credit card to their profile in the Disneyland app ahead of the visit. This way, their card will be an option at checkout and they won't need to worry about manually inputting the information. Then their card is also ready for mobile ordering during the day. It's basically a Lightning Lane at participating food and beverage locations! It is my favorite feature in the Disneyland app.

Victoria, it was a pleasure to get you one step closer to the magic! I can't wait for you to experience the holidays at Disneyland Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
