Our family member will be staying at the Polynesian for one night. They said we can visit them there and use the pool. Can we park there and use the pool?

    Aloha, Ettie! Welcome to planDisney!

The Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite places in Walt Disney World. The immersive island decor, delicious dining locations, and fantastic views of the Magic Kingdom make it an amazing experience whether you have a room reservation or are just stopping by for a quick visit.

The resort has some amazing pools, but unfortunately, they are reserved for registered guests only. You are certainly free to visit your family member to enjoy any of the restaurants and shopping, or just stroll around the resort grounds. You can enjoy complimentary self-parking at the resort if you have a dining reservation, but otherwise, it is also reserved for registered guests. Luckily, the Ticket and Transportation Center has plenty of parking available to all guests and is located right next to the Polynesian Village Resort. Just follow the walking path!

If you do end up visiting, I’d highly recommend stopping by Pineapple Lanai for some DOLE Whip, Tambu Lounge for its famous Lapu Lapu, or Trader Sam’s (the Grog Grotto or Tiki Terrace) for any number of fantastic tropical concoctions. There’s also the new Wailulu Bar and Grill, located in the resort’s Island Tower, which has a great menu and even better view of the Seven Seas Lagoon.

I hope this information helps with your vacation planning, Ettie. If you have any other questions before your upcoming trip, don’t hesitate to come right back to planDisney. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
