I have a family member purchasing military park ticket passes from our local military base, does he need to be with us upon checking in and daily each day at the park?

Greetings, Jessica! I’m so glad you’re hEAR for help with planning your vacation! It will be time for you to board Disney’s Magical Express before you know it! My brother purchased Military Salute tickets from the Shades of Green ticket desk for our extended family when we last visited together and it was a huge savings. Not to mention it made buying Memory Maker a little easier, and oh, wow! The amazing photos we came home with were such a treasure, especially with my brother home on leave.

No, your family member will not need to be with you while you visit the parks. Last year, my brother ran the Dark Side Half Marathon, while I only ran the 5k and 10k. The morning after the half, he ate a big breakfast and napped in the room while I took my kids and my parents to Magic Kingdom for a few spins on the Mad Tea Party teacups. As far as checking in goes, unless you are staying at Shades of Green, they will not need to be with you for check-in. At Shades of Green, they will need to show military ID, as well as be the name holder on the room reservation.

If you need any more help with your visit to the Most Magical place on Earth, please let me know. See ya’ real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
