Hi there, Kevin!
I’m sorry for the disappointment. I hope your family member can enjoy a visit to the Disneyland Resort another time soon.
Although
theme park tickets are nonrefundable, you may still be able to use the magic locked inside that extra ticket. Most unused tickets remain valid for several months after purchase. Standard theme park tickets purchased today are valid through December 30, 2023, for one-day tickets. Standard multi-day tickets purchased today must be used within 13 days of the first use or by January 12, 2024, whichever comes first. If you purchased a
Summer 2022 California Resident 3-Day Ticket, you may use those three days on any valid and
available date through September 15, 2022. If you purchased your ticket directly through Disney, you may even be able to
use it after it expires if it was wholly unused before then.
I hope you can enjoy the value of that extra ticket soon. If you have another family member or friend that could use the ticket, feel free to give it to them. You can call the
Tickets phone line if you would like to change the name on the ticket. Or you may simply assign it to a new person by the Cast Member at the park entrance when they digitally link the security photograph to it, even if their name doesn’t match. Or if you want to cancel the
theme park reservations linked to that one ticket, you may do so from the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page. Then that ticket is free to have a new park reservation made for it on a future date that the ticket is still valid and when
reservations are available.
I hope one of those options works well for your circumstances, Kevin. If you have any more questions about this or other topics related to your visits to the Disneyland Resort, please don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
