A warm welcome to planDisney, Tony! Thanks for bringing us your question today. I hope by the end of this response, you will feel much better acquainted with
My Disney Experience, as it can be a helpful little genie in your pocket during a Walt Disney World vacation.
First, for any Guest in your party aged over 13, I recommend they set up a My Disney Experience account. Any Guests under 13 can be managed by you by simply adding their name and birthday to your My Disney Experience. Once everyone is set up, you will want to
link with them so your party plans can be managed cohesively.
So your whole family is connected and ready to go, what now? You can assign tickets, Disney Resort hotel reservations, and Magic Bands (if using) through My Disney Experience. You can also ensure that
MagicMobile is set up on your device - if you are managing plans for minors, their tickets will be available on your app.
Once at Walt Disney World, your My Disney Experience App can be used for so many things. Here are my top 3 favorite uses...
Disney sat nav - We can all need a little help navigating the vast magical world of Disney, and a handy feature in your My Disney Experience app can help with that. If you select a ride you want to try, you can choose to get directions, and hey presto, your route is planned.
Virtual Queues - Do you want to try the latest ride additions to Walt Disney World? At 7 a.m. sharp, you can try to nab a Virtual Queue for rides such as
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind - which, in my humble opinion, is one of the greatest rides of all time.
Mobile Food & Beverage Order - I love this feature because it can help to shorten food wait times for my hangry kiddos. It also makes me feel more organized when ordering for a big group, rather than a chaotic order at the till point.
I'm sure you'll finish your Walt Disney World vacation with your own favorite features of My Disney Experience, Tony. We're always here to help at planDisney if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a magical vacation!
Louise
