Does each family member need to download the app?

Hi there, Amy, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m excited for your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation! There’s so much to see and do at the parks this summer!

I’m happy to report that only one person in your family needs to download the Disneyland app, though more family members can, if they’d like to! Here’s how it works: Start by downloading the Disneyland app, then, if you’ve purchased your theme-park tickets ahead of time, you can go ahead and scan them into the app. To do this, simply select “Tickets and Passes,” then, tap the “+” in the upper right-hand corner. Tap “Link Tickets & Passes,” then scan the barcode of each ticket or pass you’d like to link. You can also enter the ID number manually if you prefer. I recommend adding a name to each ticket so you know whom each ticket belongs to. Then, if you scan the tickets into another family member’s app, each ticket will transfer over automatically with each respective name. Once you’ve scanned all your tickets into your apps, and you’ve entered one of the theme parks, you can begin making your digital Disney FASTPASS selections for your group using Disney MaxPass

If you haven’t already purchased MaxPass, not to worry, you can still add it to your tickets upon entering either theme park on a daily basis, for an additional fee. Keep in mind that MaxPass also includes Disney PhotoPass, which features unlimited downloads of your PhotoPass photos… this is a great way to preserve your vacation memories, and ensure everyone makes it into the picture!

The Disneyland app is a great handy helper for navigating both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park! My family uses it to find favorite Characters, check attraction wait times, make dining reservations, and even mobile order food and drinks.

Also, remember to make dining reservations up to 60 days before your arrival. This could be especially helpful if you have a larger group. I recently had the pleasure of watching World of Color with friends while finishing a later dinner at Lamplight Lounge… and it was incredible!

Wishing you a pixie-dusted adventure at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 8, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
