Hi there, Stephanie!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm sorry you're experiencing a bit of a plot twist in your plans, I hope all is well and that you and your mom will have a great time in the parks.
Yes! An unused, valid standard theme park ticket can be used by someone other than the person named on the ticket. The names are mostly so you can tell which ticket belongs to everyone in the
Disneyland Mobile App. When you arrive at the parks for the first time the Cast Member at the entry point will take a photo, and it's the photo that will be used to validate that the same person continues to use that ticket. So no worries!
If you'd like you can also call the
"Tickets" phone number and ask to have the name changed before your visit. It's not necessary, but some people like to update the name just for clarity.
For special promotion tickets (
like those awesome ones for Anaheim residents in qualifying zip codes) you'll want to make sure that you have any necessary identification to enter the parks. All guests are also required to have a
theme park reservation for the day they want to visit. If you have those things then you should be good to go!
Did you hear that Jack Skellington opened the doors of
Haunted Mansion Holiday a little early this year? It's the best kind of surprise! Because there are still some renovations happening on the grounds around the mansion you'll have to join the
virtual queue if you'd like to go on a spooky tour. I like to set an alarm on my phone a few minutes before the queue opens so it doesn't creep up on me!
Have a fantastic day in the parks with your mom, Stephanie!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
