    We have a family member who is military and wants to purchase tickets as a gift but is NOT able to go to Disneyland himself. If he purchases the tickets on base does he need to be present at Disneyland as well?

    Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about theme park tickets.

    After being purchased, the Disneyland Resort promotional military 3-Day Park Hopper Tickets must also be activated at a theme park ticket booth or Guest Relations before being used for entrance at the turnstiles. All members of the party must be present at this time, including either the military member or their spouse with the appropriate identification. While spouses of eligible members are able to activate the tickets without the member being present, all other family and friends may not. So, unless the military member or his spouse can accompany you to the resort, you are unfortunately not able to use the promotional tickets.
