A family member is getting married this summer at the wedding pavilion and having the reception at the Grand Floridian. I have been told there is a special discount for those attending the wedding. Could you please provide me with any info you have.

    Congratulations to the happy couple!

At 8 months prior to the wedding, the couple will provide Disney Fairy Tale Weddings with their guest list. Guests will receive Save the Date Announcements, Reservation Forms and Advanced Ticket Forms.

The wedding couple will have rooms blocked at a chosen resort(s). Many couples will choose a value, moderate and deluxe hotel. 1 month prior to the event, any unassigned rooms will be released so be sure to book before that date. Depending on the type of wedding package booked, these rooms may be discounted. If so, discounts are usually 10-30% off rack rates.

If you have any further questions, ask the wedding couple to supply with you the rates that will be offered. You should be receiving further information soon, including information on discounted park tickets, if available. Usually these are about $20 off the regular rates.

When we had our vow renewal at WDW, the Fairy Tale Weddings Department was outstanding in assisting our guests.
