Had family medical emergency. Daughter and family continued on with Disneyland plans in May utilizing Military Salute tickets. They can’t afford a second trip. Can we use our two tickets towards the purchase of regular four day pass tickets

    Hiya, Victoria!

Welcome to planDisney! While I wish that you were writing to us under better circumstances, I hope everyone is doing better now!

I sadly don't have the proper magic mirror to see inside your My Disneyland Account, Victoria, so I'm not able to see how exactly your original trip was planned. However, it sounds like you and a spouse (or a really good friend) had to back out of visiting The Happiest Place on Earth when your daughter was to be your military ticket sponsor and validate your Disneyland Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets. (If this isn't correct, feel free to write us back!) Again, I'm so sorry that things did not go as planned, but I'm happy to share some answers:

Yes, as long as the tickets that you currently hold are 100% wholly unused (ie: no days redeemed), then you should be able to apply the value of these passes towards the purchase price of any other standard theme park admission ticket. As long as the price of the new tickets is the same as or more than the value of the original tickets, you could even opt for a pass with fewer days on it or one that automagically includes the brand new Disney Genie+ add-on product, etc. To make this type of ticket switch, you'll call the helpful Cast Members at the Disneyland Resort Ticketing Helpline. Their phone number is (714) 781-4636.

The bonus about upgrading your military tickets is that your new passes won't have the hard-set expiration date of December 16 like the salute tix, so you might not have to try to squeeze in a trip in November and instead could have a bit more time to plan a visit to Mickey's house if you needed it. (Be sure to ask the Cast Member on the phone how long the new passes will be valid.)

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Victoria! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Panel Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
