Katy from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My family is making a trip to Disneyland August 22 and 23rd. My son has been waiting for this trip until he hit 48 inches so he could ride the credit coaster. I see that it will be closed for refurbishment beginning in July 28. Is there an expected reoopen

Katy! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with this great question!

My youngest son wanted us to measure him constantly in the weeks leading up to our visit a couple years ago because reaching that 48" milestone to ride the Incredicoaster in California Adventure was a HUGE deal! Now, it's one of our family's favorite rides!

I can understand your desire to know whether or not the Incredicoaster will be open during your upcoming visit, Katy! I always want to know which attractions might be unavailable to experience during my visits to Disneyland. This helps alleviate any disappointments, especially for my young kids but, let's be honest, me too. Your question is a good one, Katy!

Dates are released for attraction closures six weeks out and are available on the Daily Events Schedule, so it's a little too early, at this time, to know for your particular date. But six weeks out from your visit is coming up soon! I encourage you to check back to the Daily Events Schedule on the Disneyland website and scroll down to "Closed for Refurbishment" to see any attractions that may be closed during your visit, including the Incredicoaster. It's important to know, however, that closures can change at any time. I'll be wishing on a star that your son will be chasing Jack-Jack through the sky soon!

The Daily Events Schedule not only provides updated closure information, Katy, but much more including park hours, entertainment offerings, and any events that may be occurring during your visit. Make sure you've selected your specific dates and park at the top.

The end of August is one of my family's favorite times of year to visit Disneyland, for so many reasons. This year, Halloween Time is scheduled to return August 22 and, with that, themed attractions (like Haunted Mansion Holiday!), entertainment, dining and more. You and your son are in for a real treat!

I hope this information has been helpful, Katy! If any other questions come up in your planning, like how to utilize the Disneyland app or strategies to make sure you hit all of your top priorities (like the Incredicoaster!), please don't hesitate to reach out again! We'd love to share more of our tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland!

Above all, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you and your son the most magical visit, Katy!
