Hi, my family and I are making restaurant reservations for our trip that is coming up in 2 weeks and we have a 16 month old that will be traveling with us. Do we need to include him in the total number for our reservation???

    Hi Jordan,

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Yes, please include him in all of your dining reservations.  It's really for safety measures.  Disney is all about taking care of even their littlest Guests; in fact, they are at the top of the list!

When restaurant management knows how many children are in a restaurant at any given time,  were there any emergencies, each Castmember would be aware of how many kids had to be accounted for.  Table set up is another reason for needing to know is a little one is coming.  Some Guests do have strollers, and those strollers have certain spaces in the restaurant that are more accommodating.  It's so that walking spaces are kept clear.  Safety again:)

Another reason?  Not including kids in your reservation could cause you a delay in getting seated at your reserved time.  You will be seated eventually, but a new table would have to be prepared for you.

I hope this information helps Jordan.  Wishing you a very magical vacation!
