My family and I will be making our first EVER trip to WDW in Febuary/Early March during the Commodity Classic. Our 7 year old son is Autistic. Do you all have any suggestions on traveling WDW and parks with an autistic child?

    Hi Melissa,

I'm so pleased to hear that your first ever trip to Walt Disney World is in the works!  Early March is my very favorite time of year to visit the Disney theme parks.  There's nothing like an early taste of spring after a long hard winter.  Do plan to spend plenty of time at Epcot as preparations will be underway for the annual Flower and Garden Festival.  I've never seen so many beautiful flowers and topiaries in one place!

Several of my colleagues on the panel have children on the autism spectrum and have provided excellent advice for ways to make your son's trip enjoyable.  Tanya, Ritzy, and Allison have all offered responses that I think you'll find valuable.  Just click on their names to see their posts.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if you need any additional advice as your trip approaches.

Wishing your family a vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
