Happy New Year, Madison! Well, I know it's a bit early, but we can get a headstart, right? Welcome to planDisney!
New Year's Eve in a theme park at the
Walt Disney World Resort is a bucket list item for me. I don't care how crowded it might be, just being there, kicking off the new year is something I've always wanted to do. I'm sure you understand how magical this place is and being able to start the new year in such a wonderful way is an experience you'll never forget!
When one of the theme parks reaches capacity, no Guests will be allowed to enter until park capacity goes down. As such, it is highly recommended on very busy days, like New Year's Eve, to not leave a park unless you are comfortable with the possibility that you will not be let back in at a later time. While there are typically phased closures for various scenarios, on New Year's Eve, I wouldn't chance it! Last year, the
nighttime spectacular was performed at 6:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Since we have not received confirmation of the offerings of
this year's New Year's Eve entertainment, stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements. And of course, consult the
My Disney Experience mobile app for the most up-to-date information during your park visit.
Did you know that typically, during the last week of the year, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade is performed for Guests during the day? This is an awesome parade and a very unique opportunity as it is typically only reserved for Guests attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. So make sure you are consulting that app to see if this will once again be offered this year and what the times might be. This parade and Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade during
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are tied for the best parades in my book!
Madison, enjoy ringing in the new year at the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other questions,
I've got you!
Remember you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine,
Matt
