My family and I will be in the Magic Kingdom in early April 2013. We will be celebrating my son's 3rd birthday and it will be his 1st time visit! What can we do to make this an extra special visit for him? Not sure where we are staying yet.

Hello Lynette and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It is magical to celebrate birthdays at Walt Disney World, especially when visiting for the first time.
What a big rush for a three year old, seeing - hearing - feeling so many new experiences.
This experience can be enhanced by choosing a resort that appeal to your son´s taste.  Maybe one of the theme rooms at Disney´s Art of Animation, or a Pirate Room at the Caribbean Beach Resort.

Get a Happy Birthday Button at any Disney Guest Service, so that Disney Cast Members can congratulate him on his special day.
If he is into pirates, like my kids, you can book a reservation at The Pirates League for a fun experience and a beautiful Pirate makeover.  This is my favorite!

An extra special touch is to order, 48 hours in advance, a Specialty Cake to be delivered at any of Disney´s table-service restaurant.  Advance reservations required. (407) 827-2253
Cakes can also be arranged upon arrival at all Walt Disney World restaurants.  Disney´s Deluxe Resort delivers cakes to rooms.

You can also take him to Harmony Barber Shop for a fun haircut or go over the top with an In-Room Celebration.

What you choose depends on taste and budget.

Happy to help you plan a magical birthday vacation.
Hope to hear more from you.
