It sounds like you know your stuff, Jane. You've made an excellent choice for your late lunch. Did you know that the
pizza ovens at Via Napoli are named after the three active volcanoes in Italy? That's a fun fact that you can share with your dining party!
Not only do I have to commend your restaurant choice, but I also have to point out that you cleverly scheduled your reservation well after 2pm, when Guests with the
Park Hopper Option can begin exercising their hopping abilities (subject to capacity availability). It also sounds like you're well aware that at this time, Guests do need
valid theme park admission as well as a
theme park reservation to gain entry to their first park of the day, but those with a Park Hopper don't need to reserve a spot at the second (or subsequent) theme parks they plan to visit. You've clearly done your homework. Great planning!
You're also wise to ask this question because, indeed, the situation you've hypothesized could be a problem. Dining reservations as well as reservations for other in-park activities do not guarantee a Guest admittance to a theme park if capacity has been reached. For that reason, Guests are encouraged to schedule dining reservations within the same theme park where they hold a theme park reservation.
You have a few options.
- You could cancel your Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria reservation and opt to dine within Magic Kingdom instead. My family loves lunching at Liberty Tree Tavern.
- Assuming there is availability, you could cancel your Magic Kingdom theme park reservation for April 2nd and book one at Epcot instead.
- You could check for availability at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria on a day when you have a theme park reservation for Epcot.
I know that's probably not the news you were hoping for, Jane, but I do hope it helps you plan the perfect itinerary for your family. Have a magical time!
