Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, James!
I've loved visiting Disney's Wilderness Lodge for so long, and I'm beyond excited because my family will be staying there later this year. I just love this resort's theming, with so many rich Disney details everywhere, and it does have some wonderful
dining options.
Guests are welcome to visit any Walt Disney World Resort hotel to explore, shop, or dine, and are generally permitted to
park at no charge for up to three hours. Depending on how busy it is the day you're visiting, the security Cast Members at the resort may allow you to park even without a dining reservation if you share that you're hoping for a walk-up table at one of the resort's Table-Service restaurants or to dine at
Roaring Fork (don't miss their amazing campfire-themed cupcake). I've done this many times without a problem, but note that if it's a busy day, you may be directed to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then take the ferry or monorail and to Magic Kingdom Park and then the boat to
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
If you're hoping to get a
dining reservation, be sure to keep checking. I've had lots of luck getting dining reservations a week or two before my visit - this is the time lots of Guests are finalizing plans, and you may find yourself in luck. I'm sending pixie-dusted dining wishes your way!
Enjoy your visit to this cozy and tranquil resort, James!
Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day,
Robyn
