Hello Taylor and welcome to planDisney!
Cravings for those Mickey shaped beignets make us go to great lengths to make sure we don’t miss out on a trip to
Scat Cat’s Club Cafe at
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter!
With the recent information regarding the upcoming changes to the bus transportation and Sassagoula River Cruise rules at Disney Springs, there will be a need for some changes in how we go about getting to the French Quarter to quench those beignet cravings. Starting June 28, 2026, Guests will be asked to show a valid Disney Resort hotel room key, a dining reservation or an experience reservation for the Resort that they are visiting to utilize the bus service and the boat at Disney Springs.
Taylor, if you plan on staying in off-site Disney lodging, the options I see for you to get to the French Quarter would include a rental car, if you have one for your trip, or a ride share that would pick you up and deliver you to the French Quarter for those delicious beignets. Another work around, would be on a park day, once you have parked your vehicle or have been dropped off at the theme park of your choice, you could take a complimentary bus to the French Quarter, enjoy your beignets, and then return to the theme park on a French Quarter complimentary bus to finish your day.
You could also reserve a dining reservation at Boatwright’s Dining Hall at
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-Riverside which would allow you to utilize the complimentary Disney transportation at Disney Springs. Riverside is a nice scenic walk along the Sassagoula River to the French Quarter where you could finish off your amazing meal with a few dozen beignets!
Taylor, changes are never easy, but changes can bring new adventures, and I hope they do for you! Once you get your fill of beignets, don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
