Our family is looking to visit Disneyland the week of 11/3/25 to enjoy the 70th anniversary activities. Will the holiday parades take over the 70th Anniversary options during this week? We are really hoping to catch the Paint the Night parade and fireworks

Greetings, Mary, and welcome to planDisney! I love that your family will visit the Disneyland Resort this fall. Some of my favorite childhood memories were made at the Happiest Place on Earth, from splitting a churro with my sister to braving Space Mountain for the first time. You will have a magical time!

Mary, I totally understand your excitement about the Paint the Night Parade and Wondrous Journeys fireworks show. I saw them last week and already want to go again. One has dazzling lights and a high-energy soundtrack, and the other celebrates classic stories with a few awe-inspiring surprises.

It's still a little early to know if Paint the Night will continue during Halloween Time and the Holidays. We know that select shows will temporarily pause to make way for seasonal entertainment offerings, but details haven't been announced yet. The same goes for entertainment that may be scheduled between the end of Halloween Time and the start of the Holidays – we'll know more as the dates approach.

The Hours and Events Calendar typically shows entertainment schedules up to six weeks out. It is updated on a rolling basis, so details for early November should be available around the end of September.

I visited the first week of November last year (in 2024), and Mickey's Mix Magic was scheduled with fireworks on select days. That's not to say it will be the same this year, but it indicates there may be something during that time. Look for World of Color shows in California Adventure, too. I looked back at photos from that visit, and last year, there were already hints of the Holidays by the way of decorations and merchandise, so there's a chance you might encounter a taste of holiday magic during your trip.

Since nighttime spectaculars seem to be high on your list, start looking at dining packages 60 days from your arrival date. If you plan to have a sit-down meal at the park, these packages are a great way to enhance your visit, as you'll also secure a great spot to watch one of the shows. My pal McCayla is a big fan of the Fantasmic! Dining Packages, and I'm hoping to do the World of Color Dessert Party soon.

Mary, I hope your family has the best time at the Disneyland Resort this fall. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue planning. We're always glad to help here at planDisney!

    Your pal,
