For a family of 6, how much are we looking to spend if we are going from California?

    Ahoy Fabiola!

Welcome to planDisney! So happy to have you onboard as you chart a course for an adventure at sea with your family. I’d be happy to be your first mate as you captain the cruise planning waters. So let’s get started!

First, I will say that your total cost will all depend on which itinerary and what port will be your starting point. Naturally, if you choose one of the sailings from San Diego, you will likely pay less in travel expenses than if you flew to Florida to set sail from Port Canaveral or Miami. Fortunately, there are many voyages leaving from and returning to California, ranging from 2 nights up to 7 nights.

I would start by deciding on which itineraries appeal most to you. Then check pricing on the Disney Cruise Line website by entering the number in your travel party and how many staterooms you need. Just an FYI: unless you are staying Concierge level, you will have to get at least 2 staterooms to accommodate your group.

The site also allows you to narrow your search by stateroom category (Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, or Concierge), and you can even look for connecting staterooms. That way, you could leave the door open and access both rooms during your cruise and feel more connected with your family members. The deck plans of each ship clearly indicate where the connecting staterooms are located.

If you choose staterooms close to one another (but not adjoining), you can choose two different categories and possibly save money. In this scenario, Guests often choose either an Oceanview or a Verandah stateroom as their first stateroom and an Inside stateroom as their second stateroom.

Alternatively, here’s another way you can find out exactly how much a Disney cruise will be for your family of 6: contact a Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning Specialist! I’m certain that they will be able to help you land on the best stateroom combination and give you all the potential options.

Once you get your voyage booked, please stop back by planDisney with all your planning questions.

    SEA ya real soon!
