Our family is looking to purchase Military tickets for our trip in April. What is the difference between Park Hopper and Park Hopper plus tickets?

Hiya, Teresa! I'm so glad you found the second star to the right and followed it straight on to us at planDisney!

Oh boy, I'm so excited that your family is planning a trip together for April. I'm positively twitterpated for you! As a military spouse, I know how valuable quality time is - and I can't think of a better place to spend that time together than at Walt Disney World Resort!

Teresa, Eligible Service Members can purchase Military Salute Tickets through Morale, Welfare, and Recreation at their local base or through Shades of Green. Personally, we like to order our tickets through Shades of Green because we enjoy the fact that they arrive already activated and ready to go! No matter how you purchase your tickets, you'll want to make sure you link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account and assign each to a Guest in your travel party. Be sure to also make theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system! This is the best way to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip.

Military Salute Tickets come with a few options, from Park Hopper to Park Hopper Plus to the addition of Disney Genie+ service! The Park Hopper Option allows Guests to start their day at the park that they have a theme park reservation for, then hop to any other park (or all of the other parks!) after 2:00 PM. The Park Hopper Plus Option has these same benefits but also allows Guests to hop to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course, and/or Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (prior to 4:00 PM)! Knowing your travel party, their interests, and your daily itinerary will help you to decide which ticket will be right for you.

Once you have your tickets and they're linked to your account, you may want to start thinking about any advance dining reservations you'd like to make! If you'd like to make any reservations, I'd recommend thinking about which parks you'll be visiting and making reservations for restaurants that will be nearby. You can begin making reservations for your trip 60 days prior to your arrival at approximately 5:45 AM EST! Some of my favorite restaurants are Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' in Disney Springs, Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom Park, and Via Napoli in EPCOT!

I hope I was able to help you with your Military Salute Ticket options, Teresa! If you have any other questions, I hope you stop by and visit us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
