Hiya Maggie,
Welcome to planDisney! I love that you and your family are on your way to making magical memories as a family at the Most Magical Place on Earth! I’ve always loved Walt Disney World Resort, but seeing through my little ones’ eyes has made it even more special to me. Don’t forget to stop at
PhotoPass stops when you can so you can get photos of your entire crew together. I’m sure you will want to look back at them and remember all the core memories (especially with you, soon-to-be birthday boy)!
Great question about rooms, Maggie. I have a 15-month-old who sleeps in a crib (and a three-year-old), so I’ve often wondered about room capacity and little Mouseketeers. I spoke to a Cast Member, Andresa, who informed me that all Guests are counted toward the total room occupancy for Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms, even those sleeping in cribs. She also mentioned that since your Mouseketeer will be 3 during your visit, you would not be able to stay in a 5th sleeper with your family of 6, even if he sleeps in a crib. To best accommodate your family, she recommended reserving a family suite or a villa, if available.
I know this wasn’t the answer you were hoping for, Maggie, but I hope it was still helpful. Before I let you go, don’t forget that now that your youngest is 3, he will need a theme park ticket for entry into the theme parks. My three-year-old loves that she now has her own ticket card to tap into the turnstiles and has been eyeing a
MagicBand+ lately! One last thing, if you have room in your itinerary, head on over to
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, they have so many fun little areas for littles to run around in, including playgrounds! Our two spent hours running around on our last visit, and there were so many other littles to play with, so it made it even more wonderful! If you need anything else, please come back and see us!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
