My family is looking at getting two sites at fort wilderness in 2020, what are the chances that we can get sites adjacent to each other?

Howdy, Catherine, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you moseyed on over with your question today. After all, the wilderness must be explored!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is chock-full of fun for your Walt Disney World Resort stay. And having room for your family to spread out will just add to the adventure! I spoke with a Guest Relations Cast Member who told me there are two things you should do to ensure you're able to get adjacent campsites. First, if you're reserving your sites on the Walt Disney World website, just make a note on your reservation that you'd like two sites together. Then, about 10 days before your arrival, call Guest Relations to make sure they're able to accommodate your request. There's never a guarantee that requests can be fulfilled, but Cast Members do their best to sprinkle a little pixie dust on your vacation.

Now - have you started thinking about all you plan to do at "the Fort"? You'll want a golf cart to get around - you can bring your own, or rent a golf cart in advance. Then, go for a dip in the Meadow Swimmin' Pool, head to the Marina to catch a boat to the Magic Kingdom, hop over to Chip & Dale's Campfire Singalong, or hit Pioneer Hall for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Plus, there's horseback riding, archery lessons, playgrounds, shopping...there's more to do here than you can shake a stick at!

I hope this helps make your stay in the wilderness a bushel of fun, Catherine. Come on back and see us if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
