    Our family is so looking forward to visiting Castaway Cay! I understand we can rent bikes and snorkel gear upon arrival, but do you recommend reserving double kayaks and paddle boats in advance, or will those be available without pre-booking as well?

    Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking me a question about probably one of my favourite places on Earth… Disney’s Castaway Cay!

    My family always rents Floats & Tubes whenever we visit. It really is the perfect way to laze the day away on the beach. Based on my experience, it’s really easy to rent them, along with snorkeling equipment and bicycles without a reservation. As for watercraft rentals, if you think you’d like to rent an Aqua Trike or Sea Kayak (for either a Single Rental or a Double Rental), then I’d highly recommend that you make those reservations ahead of time. While it is possible to rent one without a reservation, availability is much more limited. 

    Tip: you can always speak to the crew member who will be helping you with your rental or with the Port Adventures staff onboard if you find that you’ve made a reservation but that you won’t be using it – they’ll be happy to assist you with any alternative plans you may wish to make.
