My family and I are looking forward to our upcoming stay at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Are there sand toys available to borrow at Stormalong Bay or do I need to bring/purchase my own?

Hello Kelli!  Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

When my family stayed at Disney's Beach Club Resort, we could have easily spent the entire day around the Stormalong Bay Pool Area. My daughter loved the lazy river and water slide and my son parked himself in the sandy beach and played for hours.

When we went to the pool at Disney's Beach Club Resort, many times there would be play toys like shovels and buckets in the area. Upon checking with a Lifeguard, they informed me that many of the items are left by other Guests on the last day of their vacation for others to enjoy but that they did not provide them.

There were a couple of instances when we found ourselves without sand toys. Having appreciated the sand toys that others had left for us, we purchased a bucket, shovel and Finding Nemo figurines from Beach Club Marketplace and left them upon our final Walt Disney World resort vacation day for others to enjoy.

The toys that are left are usually general shovels, buckets and other digging toys, so if your child prefers something more particular you may wish to bring any favorites from home if you have luggage space.
