My family is looking forward to our first cruise. My girls just turned 3, but I'm concerned they might not be fully potty trained by the trip. Do the kids' clubs allow training pants/pull ups, or will we be stuck in the nursery?

    Ahoy Shawn –

In just a little under 2 months your pirate crew will be enjoying luxury and fun on the seas with Disney Cruise Line. And please let me wish you a hearty CONGRATULATIONS on your FIRST CRUISE! Get ready to be initiated into the ranks of seasoned sailors with Captain Mickey at the helm on your magical journey. Your pirate princesses will have the vacation of a lifetime on their cruise, and the fact that they are already potty-training is a big deal – KUDOS to you!

The Oceaneer Club is a fantastic space full of excitement where sea pups can play and learn under the watchful eye of the specially trained Youth Counselors onboard. At 3 years of age, your pirate fairies will be old enough to join in during Open House, but if you want to check them in for secured programming they will need to be fully toilet trained because Pull Ups and other training pants are not allowed. My pirate cub did not fully potty-train until he was 3 ½ years old, but he still had a wonderful time in “it’s a small world nursery” which is for pirate children ages 6 months to 3 years.

Just to be safe, I recommend booking some nursery time in case the girls need it in October. Shawn, I hope your girls have a great time on their trip and thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
