My family is looking on going to disney world next april. It will be to celebrate my mothers 50 b day/first vist to disney world. We will be spending most of our times at the parks. Can u recommend a hotel that would best for a family of four adults?

    Chamblin:

If you're wanting to spend most of your time in the parks, you can look at your hotel two different ways. 1) You can choose a hotel that puts you in proximity to the parks for easy access or 2) choose an inexpensive resort if you feel your hotel time is limited. Let's explore these two approaches:

    1. If you're not bringing a car and relying on Disney transportation, staying in a hotel near the parks can make your vacation much more enjoyable. The Boardwalk Inn or Beach Club are within walking distance to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios but best of all provide rooms that are larger than the Value resorts and can accommodate four adults in a room. The Boardwalk area at night as well as its abundance of restaurants make it an excellent choice for grownups.
    2. If you don't see yourself spending much time at your resort, consider a Value or Moderate resort that can save you enough money to pay for a special meal to celebrate your mom's birthday. My pick for a Value would be Pop Century but with four adults, I'd recommend that you upgrade to a Moderate like Port Orleans: Riverside or Coronado Springs. While you will have to depend on bus transportation to all four parks if you aren't bringing a car, these resorts have better food courts and grounds and provide good nightlife, especially POR with its boat to Downtown Disney.
    3. If you don't want the Disney Dining Plan, consider the best of both worlds by staying at the Swan or Dolphin hotels that are near the Boardwalk but at a Moderate resort's cost.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
