My family lives in Southern California, can she buy the discounted tickets for us for our upcoming trip? She will be attending the trip.

    Hi Kelly,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! It sounds like you have a magical trip on the horizon! The SoCal resident 3-day tickets are a great way for local residents to enjoy the magic of the parks. This offer is available from January 1 through May 15, 2025.

In order to purchase the 3-Day SoCal ticket, you must present a valid government photo ID. Additionally, a Cast Member will need to verify the address on the ID of each adult guest prior to entry. Accepted IDs include a driver’s license or a California ID. Unfortunately, if you are unable to show a government-issued ID with a qualifying zip code, you will not be able to use the tickets. I know this may not be the news you were hoping for, Kelly. If there is any flexibility in your trip, I would suggest taking advantage of the Disneyland Anniversary Ticket. There are 3-day and 4-day tickets that allow you to visit from May 16 through August 14, 2025 (subject to park reservation availability).

If you are unable to reschedule your trip, I assure you that you will have a fabulous time. In case you haven't heard, the Food and Wine Festival is currently taking place at California Adventure and will last until April 21, 2025. My fellow planDisney panelist Kirss was able to share her review of her favorite things at the festival. The festival is a paradise for any foodie, with over 100 food and drink options to sample. You can get a Sip and Savor pass to save on sampling eight or four different items (not including alcoholic drinks). You can also check out the Disney Parks guide for an overview of all the festival has to offer.

I hope this information is helpful, Kelly. If you have any other questions or need help planning, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.

    Have a magical vacation!
