My family likes to eat as fresh as possible. I expect a lot of "vacation" food in WDW but I am wondering about the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables. Are they readily available or should I try a grocery delivery service.

Hello, Ellen!  It is wonderful to hear your family shares the same love of healthy eating as mine! There are fruit and vegetable options available at most resort locations as well as the Quick Service and Table Service restaurants. The children's meals have options available such as grapes, apple slices, or baby carrots. To plan ahead, you can view most restaurant menus online to get an idea of the best places for your family to refuel. Keep in mind the menu items shown may change from time to time. My family does also order some fruits and other healthy snacks from Garden Grocer, a grocery delivery service, to have readily available in our room. By having these smart and healthy choices available to us, I don't feel quite as guilty biting into Mickey's Ice Cream Bar or savoring a Dole Whip!

Wishing you and your family a magical day, Ellen!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
